How To Show Your Dog Your Love
Dogs are like small children, they both thrive on love and shows of affection. Because of this, a dog that knows it is loved will not feel anxious or fearful and will enjoy a fuller and healthier life.
Forget about spending a fortune
We get it, you love your pet so much you want to give them everything, but buying every toy, top of the line bed, or treat, in the pet store is not enough. For a dog, an expensive bed is just as great as a cardboard box with a blanket, as long as it comes from you.
Put your phone down and focus on your dog instead
Dogs need attention, and being on your phone will take away from that, so, put your phone away as soon as you walk through the door and spend some time playing with your puppy. Don't forget to scratch behind its ears and provide plenty of belly rubs.
Allow your dog to be a dog
Loving your dog means accepting them for what they are. Dogs like to sniff other dogs, they dig holes, and do other things that are simply part of their nature. Discouraging them from doing these things will make them feel anxious and fearful, so just let them do what they do best and act the way nature intended, even if it means doing a few things you may consider pretty gross.
